COVID-19 Listening & Learning Podcast

Session 3: Lessons Learned from Supply Chain for COVID-19 Vaccine Introduction

This session focused on supply chain and COVID-19 vaccine introduction.

The third session of Boost’s COVID-19 Listening and Learning Series on June 29, 2021. For this session, we were joined again by Nqobizitha Ndlovu, the Africa Regional Director for Adaptive Change Advisors, and Boost Member Sohini Sanyal, as they facilitated dialogue among a diverse group of experts to explore lessons learned related to supply chain and COVID-19 vaccine introduction.

Throughout the discussion, panelists surfaced real-time challenges impacting supply chain in the age of COVID-19. Many noted barriers, such as the shortage of staff to manage large facilities, lack of equipment and technical expertise to meet vaccine demand, along with the overwhelming lack of confidence for COVID-19 vaccines at all levels.
